Taco and Tequila Co., launched in December 2023, infuses the heart of Pune with the vibrant essence of Mexico and Tex-Mex culture. Designed as an immersive dining experience, the restaurant serves authentic Mexican dishes alongside inventive Tex-Mex creations, complemented by an eclectic cocktail selection. Our lighting design for the space emphasizes the rich, energetic ambiance, blending warm, inviting tones with dynamic accents to enhance both the lively bar and the cozy dining areas, making every meal an experience.

A taco joint instantly conjures an image—a burst of color, murals, lights, sombreros, and margaritas. This entrance captures that essence perfectly. Glowing signage doubles as a lighting fixture, while rustic floor lamps add layers of texture, setting the stage for an authentic, vibrant experience.
An eclectic mix of decorative fixtures balanced with soft general lighting creates a harmonious ambiance, while hidden planter lights add a touch of drama to the scene.

Coordinating this striking collection of decorative fixtures required an artful partnership with the interior designers, carefully refining each piece to harmonize within the space.
The standout element—a massive woven bamboo sombrero fixture—was meticulously lit to create a soft, even glow, avoiding any harsh shadows that might disrupt its visual appeal. The result is a perfectly balanced ambiance where every light source enhances the rich textures and vibrant atmosphere of the setting.
The dining room, with its slightly subdued ambiance compared to the lively entry spaces, sets the scene for a celebratory dinner. Soft, layered lighting creates a warm, inviting glow—perfect for gathering, toasting, and enjoying the moment.
Every element in the space was thoughtfully lit to accentuate its unique texture and form. The far wall exemplifies this approach: the upper brickwork is highlighted with focused beams, while the parapet wall below is gently illuminated by a linear light, emphasizing its clean, structural lines. This layered lighting brings depth and dimension to the room
The stairs leading to the terrace are illuminated solely by floor lamps, casting a gentle, organic glow that enhances the beautifully painted murals. This softened light ebbs and flows naturally, achieving a warmth and subtlety that directional lighting couldn’t provide.
The terrace offers the perfect backdrop for an evening of dining and drinks with friends. Soft, strictly indirect lighting enhances the comforting ambiance, allowing the interior design textures and delicious cuisine to take center stage.
Soft, ambient light washes over the living room, each fixture thoughtfully placed to accentuate the rich tapestry of textures and materials. Shadows and highlights dance harmoniously, creating a cocoon of warmth and visual comfort around the seating area—a sanctuary sculpted in light.
Custom-designed wall sconces define the space while adding elegance, and beautifully crafted rechargeable portable lamps illuminate the food, creating the perfect ambiance for Instagram-worthy photos.
