Perched on the 44th floor of a luxury skyscraper in Lower Parel, Mumbai, this apartment is crafted as a modern-day castle in the sky for a young couple and their twins. The interiors, elegantly designed with sweeping arches, curves, and poured IPS floors, offered both complexity and creative potential. The office and lounge area features multiple layers of lighting. Concealed LED strips in the wooden band create a cove lighting effect for a uniformly lit environment. Additional layers, including downlights, adjustable art lights, and decorative table lamps, provide varied lighting moods not visible in the image.
As evening falls, the uniformly lit office transforms into a lounge, embracing a more dramatic ambiance to set the mood.
At night, while lounging and catching the end of a cricket match, a soft glow spills in from the adjoining room, creating a warm, understated ambiance.
In this image, the living room is softly illuminated, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a typical evening. The cooler tones and soft glow of the wall washed in light, set the ideal mood for relaxing with family and discussing the day’s events. The layered lighting design ensures versatility, providing a comfortable setting for both everyday use and special moments.

The dining area features layered lighting with recessed trimless downlights for general illumination, a decorative pendant above the table for ambiance, and adjustable retractable downlights to accentuate artwork. This design balances functionality with visual appeal, creating a versatile dining environment.
Soft, ambient light washes over the living room, each fixture thoughtfully placed to accentuate the rich tapestry of textures and materials. Shadows and highlights dance harmoniously, creating a cocoon of warmth and visual comfort around the seating area—a sanctuary sculpted in light.

By dimming the downlights and keeping the kitchen lights on, the space achieves an ideal lighting level for intimate late-night conversations.
Lighting the outdoor terrace was a delight. We followed the architectural flow, concealing outdoor-rated LED tapes to seamlessly complete the project.
