Nestled in the upscale neighborhood of Kalyani Nagar, Pune, Cobbler and Crew demanded a lighting design as dynamic as its multiple personalities. From a refined daytime dining venue to a smoky whiskey bar, a live jazz stage, and a bustling weekend club, the space needed a lighting system that could seamlessly transition between these diverse settings.

The seamless connection between the outdoor and indoor areas. Indoor lighting creates a glow that makes the glass nearly invisible, while outdoor downlights highlight the planters. The black trim reduces glare, enhancing the overall effect.

A vintage chandelier draped with glowing filament bulbs casts a seductive warmth over the outdoor seating, while discreetly placed lights highlight each table, setting the scene for an unforgettable romantic evening.

This image encapsulates the essence of the lighting design concept for this project, where we embraced the idea of harboring darkness. Notice the intentional dark patch between the seating area and the bar—this contrast highlights our approach. Track lighting is strategically concealed behind the bar band, maintaining the necessary light levels for functionality while keeping the source out of view, enhancing the overall ambiance.

The transition between lounge areas—from the nostalgic charm of the old-school bar to the inviting dining space—is seamlessly guided not only by material changes but also by light. Warm, glowing decorative bulbs cast a soft, cohesive illumination that perfectly suits the intimate ambiance of a dinner setting.
