Spanning 30,000 sq. ft. in a prominent IT park district of Bengaluru, this office was envisioned as a dynamic workspace for Shahi Exports, one of India’s largest textile export houses. The design integrates a retail store within the office, allowing designers to experience their products as they would appear to the outside world. This innovative approach not only transforms the office into a client-facing space but also offers clients a glimpse into the company’s culture and processes, enhancing their overall experience.

The reception exudes a minimal yet luxurious quality, featuring glare-free downlights with a seamless installation that renders them nearly invisible. Sleek details conceal LED strips that accentuate the interior elements, while a modern decorative pendant gracefully provides both direct and indirect illumination. Subtle adjustable fixtures gently highlight the brand name, all harmonizing to create a cohesive modern minimalist design statement.
The open office features a layered grid of sleek linear fixtures, incorporating both direct and indirect lighting components. The indirect elements are equipped with special lenses that provide wide beam light distribution, resulting in a seamless, uniform glow on the ceiling, as illustrated in the image.
The direct and indirect components of the light fixture were designed to operate on separate circuits, giving users the flexibility to utilize less artificial light during the day and rely more on natural daylight. This design choice also allows for increased illumination in the evening, significantly enhancing energy efficiency and promoting conservation during daylight hours.
The collaborative spaces are crafted to provide a refreshing escape from traditional office desks. Warmer lighting, cove lights, and accent lighting that highlights artwork were intentionally integrated to create a relaxed atmosphere that encourages creative conversations.
